Administrative Control over Guest Account Display Name

Kimeree 8 years ago updated by Jet Mojica 6 years ago 2

We would like to assign the Display Name for all Guest accounts so that it is obvious to our members that a Guest is present without needing to open the side panel. We would like this to be something the guest can not change and is only available to Admins for alteration.

clean and compact

Slack has clean or compact layouts...one is without pictures which make the layout less cluttered even more. Should be easy to implement, to "hide user pictures in chat"..:-)

Hide some or all of the email text when repying to an email notification

Andreas 8 years ago updated by MarkB 7 years ago 3

When you reply to an email notification the entire email is added to the message when it's added to Ryver. I think that this can be improved at least is could be added as a quote or even better just add a quote with the message that caused the notification.

It could also be changed so that you can decide yourself what should be included if the hidden id is added to the subject instead then I can decide what to include in the body (if I remove everything in the body now the message will not reach Ryver). Alternatively if it can't be placed in the subject use a visible id instead so I can easily remove everything except the id.

Ability to create lists

Dan G 8 years ago updated by jeff 8 years ago 1

the idea here is that during these 1:1 discussions or posts, items may be identified, they may be tasks, or features, or deliverables, etc. It would be super useful to be able to create a new list during a conversation (through a bot tag #list New Features, etc.) and then during the conversation be able to add items to the list, again through some tag or bot. I say "lists" to keep it generic and leave it to the user community to decide what the lists will do. The lists could evolve, ie assign an item in a list to a person, add a due date, add it to a release (for a feature), etc. Endless productive possibilities. Thanks, D

Add setting in a Forum Profile to set default view of forum (posts or chat)

Nate Y 8 years ago updated by RyverMan 6 years ago 3

In the case of using a forum as a forum of posts, it would be nice to be able to set the view to posts by default instead of chat

Single click "Like" button for mobile

Everette Stephens 3 years ago updated by Brian Williams 3 years ago 2

Loving the functionality of the app so far. As it sits, this will be a huge asset for our office staff, but for some of the less tech savvy technicians we have in the field, an easily located single click "like" (or heart, like group me) would be very beneficial. Also being able to like directly from the notification on mobile.

Search in the left panel: to quickly find any team, user or forum

i1pro 4 years ago 0

I spend so much time looking for the person or team I want to chat with.   A search for these would be very helpful!

User autocomplete while typing message should order by activity

Effy Elden 5 years ago updated by Ray Walker 5 years ago 1

When typing @ to mention a particular person in the window, the list of users should sort by most recent activity (ideally in the specific forum you're typing in).

This will in most cases make it way quicker to find the person you're attempting to mention, rather than having to write out a lot of their name before you can hit 'enter'.

Notification of updates for a specific team/open forum task board

EugenW 6 years ago 0

We use Ryver task boards extensively to manage to-do lists, open support issues etc across our teams.  Admin assign other users to tasks and these tasks transition through states to done and have comments added to them.  We also have external guests assigned to those teams so external people can log tasks and track outstanding work related to them.

It's currently not easy to view new updates to a task board especially if you've been away from the board for a few hours depending on the activity.

It would be useful to be able to be able to view notifications that are specific to that team and not necessarily only showing notifications related to that user.  For example.  Notifications would show in date/time descending order when new tasks added, tasks assigned to users, commented and marked as done.   Then like the current Notifications area the user can select the tick to indicate they have all been read.

This notification view could be added to the sidebar options along with Profile, Roster and Files.  Any user in the team would have access to it.

Custom fields within tasks

infx 6 years ago 0

It would be great to provide custom fields within task objects like on trello.

There its a "Power Up" function and really helpful.

You can note your project costs, estimated hours and much more.

While import my boards from trello, badly all these data is lost...

Checklist items with Assigned users and due dates

kjkolb 6 years ago 0

A task kan have several items at the checklist.
Sometimes you can consider them as a small (sub)task.

And often some of the items (I call them subtasks) must be done by different users.

It should be nice If you can assign a user to a item.
So the subtask wil be seen at the task stream of that user.
And It would even be greater if the item also has a due date.

The other way to do this is.
An Item in a Task is a connected to an already existing separate Task.
But I think that is more confusing.

To define custom @mention for certain team members similar to @here & @team

pdlbibek 6 years ago 0

This feature will be very handy whenever you want to mention few members (of same role) in a private team chat or an open forum. This will stop bothering all team members @team or active team members @here who dont need any attention atm. Two instances of @mention for private team and global forum will be an additional benefit.

 Example below:

1. Private Team: "@designerteam can you fix this design issue

2. For global Forum: "@designerglobal we have a designers meet at this location"
