You bring up a very good distinction, Austin, between Administration and features that are available to all users to manage their view of the account. To that end, as soon as we get to the point of rewriting our navigation bar, we expect grouping to be part of that effort.

We have been looking at potential shorter term wins, as I think it could be a couple months before we get going in earnest on the nav bar rewrite. One possibility is to introduce a "Favorites" group where you can put your most used Teams, Forums and Users. I'm curious as to how much a feature like that might help you, or if you really need the multiple groupings within each category of forums, teams and DMs (users).

We're having a separate internal discussion about what it would take to provide an Admin option to not allow file uploads.

While it is true we store files on Amazon S3, please note that we store them in a "Private" S3 bucket, so they are not discoverable just by browsing/searching the internet. Additionally, we prefix each filename with a random string prefix that would make it essentially impossible by today's hardware standards to hack your way into. It's like having a really good username/password on each file. And if you have access to one file, it does not get you any closer to accessing another file.

By doing it this way, it's still easy for you and your teammates to share links to files inside or outside of Ryver, yet retains enough security to prevent outsiders looking at your stuff. Admittedly, if somebody on your team shares the link to somebody outside of your organization, then it can be accessed. Our thought on that was that the same would be true of somebody emailing a file...once that file is out in the wild, you have no control over who is emailing/sharing it with other people.

All that being said, I do understand that some people are not happy with this explanation or approach, and demand authenticated access to files. It's something we have talked about providing in the future, but I don't have a timeline for that option just yet.

Would a "Back" button (and support for the browser back button when you're in the browser) help with this flow issue, or you would definitely like to have multiple windows open at once? Thanks!

Would be interested in hearing customer expectations for comments on posts that have been moved. For example, would you expect to be able to move a Forum post with comments from all of your members into a Private Team that only contains a couple of members, and have all of the comments come along? Alternatively, if you moved a post from a Private Team to a forum, would people who commented in private expect their comments to suddenly become visible to all members?

Or...would you be interested in a "Copy Post" feature that copies the post itself, along with any attachments, to a post in another team/forum. But does not bring along any comments.

We have brought back the Google Hangout button. Though, as of Aug 8, there appears to be an issue on the Google side for displaying the button, as there are a bunch of developers reporting the issue. We'll continue looking into that.

Now that GTM Free is no longer available, we will be looking into allowing you to map your GTM account to Ryver. Users have also requested the same for Zoom and Skype. We're evaluating what it would take to provide all of these as options, even though we don't work with these companies directly.

We have also just started the process of integrating with another vendor to provide an integrated voice, video, screenshare option. It will allow us to offer for free up to 10 voice/screenshare users, and 3 video. We're excited to have this project under way and look forward to rolling it out as soon as we can.

We're close to at least showing the watermark line for last seen, even when you have been offline. We are working on scrolling to the right point as well, but might roll it out in two parts.

Doing sticky chat messages might be a little more tricky with the constant and reverse scrolling nature of a chat view. I wonder if, now that we have the side panels, being able to display something on the Profile panel would help out, as this could be left visible independent of whether you are on the Chat or Posts tab.

This was fixed in the update we applied on July 26. Than you for reporting it! The fix for mobile will be rolled out within the next 24 hours to the App Stores.

You can now set the duration time by providing your own number and then specifying minutes, hours, weeks. We will remember your last reminder setting.
