Ability to organize and sort topics
It would be awesome to have the ability to sort and organize topics in a tree type structure, hierarchy. Example: Product Group>group class > type of info
Instead of us setting up multiple forums and topics getting lost. It would make it a lot easier to find, update and ensure we are pushing out the right information. We find things that were a hot topic 3 months ago are now lost in the shuffle when you need to reference back to it. Especially useful as we 95% of our Ryver users are mobile field technicians
Choose default application for XML file
Even though my system is set to open XML files using Notepad++, Ryver app opens them using my web browser. I'd like Ryver to respect my settings on this or at least give me the option to choose the app to use.
Send smb:// links to OS
We're posting links to local file server locations quite often. In mixed OS environment, MacOS users will post smb:// links that should be opened on Windows workstations.
It is easily possible to add a SMB protocol handler to the Windows registry and it's working fine when we click smb:// links in Chrome, for example.
But nothing happens when we click the same links in the Windows Ryver client. I guess it isn't forwarding them to the OS?
Task permissions
Would be great if there was a way to setup task permissions, e.g.
- prevent non-admins from creating new categories
- prevent non-admins from editing tasks that do not belong to them
Free Trial Extension
Maybe consider giving more to free users or your program? 6 seems to be an extremely small amount, even for free. Perhaps 10-15. Slack, our old program allowed unlimited members, even though there was a message limit. We are actually considering going back because we cannot afford more members.
Change it so Badge notification when someone sends you a message does not automatically disappear if you are currently sitting in the chat. You must click into the chat for it to disappear. This way messages don't get missed when you switch a lot
Just an idea. The legacy Skype product had this and it was phenomenal. Now all major players have this disappearing notification which causes messages to get missed constantly when you are managing many dev projects at the same time
Improve overall interface and design par with Slack at least.
Ryver's weakest point among my circle of developers are the interface design and user experience. Of course in term of functionality and pricing offered by Ryver is better than Slack but these weakest point is the turning point where developers don't use Ryver. I mean no harm and thank you for hearing me out.
Chat Notifications for Android and IOS do not link to the chat, but to the "All Notifications" page
When receiving a chat notification on IOS or Android, the notification does not link to the chat. Clicking it takes you to the "All Notifications" page of Ryver instead. Meaning I then have to go find the person that messaged me to find out what that chat fully said.
