A workaround would be to use tasks - they work well, and allow free form comments like a mini topic board.

What would happen if you had two Teams (or one Team and one Forum)- one for internal use with Chats and Topics, and the other shared with the client with just the Tasks tab? You can create a task in your internal team from a topic in another forum by using the "Create Task" menu and then the "Change location" button. This might meet your requirement.

If you hover your mouse of the label "Created 02/092020 by: JB" at the bottom of the task it will show popup baloon text with the time of day - e.g Sun , Feb 9, 2020 12:52 AM.

Does Grammarly browser extension work with the Ryver website?

As a workaround you could create a task for yourself, e.g. "Attend product launch meeting on 26 July", and then use the comments on the task to capture your meeting notes.

Another idea has been raised to add tags to topics. Would this let you manage topics in the way you would like? https://feedback.ryver.com/communities/1/topics/736-tags-for-topics

This feature would also help implement the request for marking topics as complete - see https://feedback.ryver.com/communities/1/topics/241-decisions-decisions-decisions

How about using Tasks instead of Topics? That way you can tag them, and also move them to a "Decided" category / swimlane / column. I enjoy using tasks for that sort of thing.

Thanks for the feedback on ExporterRy for Windows. We have now added an option to download all comments made on Topics and Tasks. This can take a little longer to export but it is worth it if you have useful information in the comments.

An updated version of ExporterRy is now available - https://www.utilitysoftware.store/exporterry

  • Option to zip all exported data files
  • Improved progress log and error handling
  • Topics and Chats are now exported in groups of 1,000 to improve processing and viewing speeds

Please let me know if you would like any other enhancements. Would anyone be interested in exporting attachments?
