While we have some grander plans for fine granular control of notifications. One that is potentially earlier on our radar is to be able to set your Post notifications to either automatically subscribe you to each post and thus all comments, or to just notify you that a new Post was made, but don't bug you with notifications for the comments unless you participate in the post.

We do pin Teams automatically when a user is invited to one. So it's up to them if they want to remove it at that point.

For Forums, however, this is not the case. Our current plan is to add an option to the Add Forum view to notify all Members of the new forum. They can opt to click a link in the notification to join/pin the Forum.
