Allow emoji to be used in Subject of a Post

It would be nice if we could include an emoji in the Subject line of a Post.


For example, it would be nice to be able to make a post about an upcoming birthday with something like "Happy Birthday, Jason! :birthday:" and have it show the cake emoji.


Currently, doing the above will print out the words ":birthday:" instead of showing the emoji.

Depending on your OS this could work in the meantime http://emojipedia.org/microsoft/

Thanks for the workaround. It would be nice to have it natively supported though.

Yeah, you can use an emoji keyboard to do this, but we'll look into supporting it with the :emoji: text options. Thanks!

how about having it supported as part of the user's name? is that in your list of things to support?

emojis should be supported in :alltheplaces:
